PRIVACY AND DATA POLICY

 

At Campus Pro, LLC (referred to as "Company," "us" or "we"), we recognize that your privacy is important. This Policy discloses the privacy practices for the Company (collectively, the “App”, “Product” or “Products), as well as related products and services we may offer to you (collectively referred to as the "Services"). This Policy also covers how personal and other information that we receive or collect about you is treated. Please read the information below to learn the following regarding your use of this Site.

 

Our mission is to give college students an opportunity for economic independence and to connect the campus community. A platform for college students to find what they want, when they want it. To help advance this mission, we provide Products and Services to you:

 

  • We use the data we have - for example, the connections you make, services you offer, the services you book, settings you select, what you do on our Products and information you share to personalize your experience. 

  • We help you find and connect with students that matter to you across the CampusPro Products you use. We use the data we have to make suggestions for you and others. We may show you ads, offers and other sponsored content to help you discover content, products or services that are offered by businesses and organizations who partner with us. Our partners pay us to show their content to you and we design our services so that the sponsored content you see is relevant and useful to you. 

  • We engage in research and collaborate with others to improve our Products. One way we do this is by analyzing the data we have and understanding how people use our Products.

  • To provide these services, we must collect and use your personal data, which you must agree to in order to use our products.

 

You acknowledge that this Privacy Policy is designed to be read in connection with the App Terms and Conditions, which is available at http://www.campusproapp.com, and by accessing our App, you agree to be bound by the App’s terms and conditions, as well as this Policy.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, by placing a prominent notice on our App, and by updating any privacy information on this page. Your continued use of the App and or Services available through this App after such modifications will constitute your: (a) acknowledgment of the modified Policy; and (b) your agreement to abide and be bound by that Policy.

IMPORTANT: BY USING THE APP AND/OR OFFERINGS AVAILABLE ON THIS APP, YOU GIVE YOUR CONSENT THAT ALL PERSONAL DATA THAT YOU SUBMIT MAY BE PROCESSED BY US IN THE MANNER AND FOR THE PURPOSES DESCRIBED BELOW. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, DO NOT USE THE APP.

 

 

  1. Types of Information We Collect

 

In order to better provide you with a mobile application that connects people who need a service with the individuals who have the skills to complete that service, we collect two types of information about our users: Personally Identifiable Information ("PII") and Aggregate Information.

 

Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. When you engage in certain activities on this App, such as registering for an account, downloading or purchasing a product or service, submitting content and/or posting content in the user forums, or sending us feedback, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself.

 

Examples of PII may include your first and last name, email address, mailing address (including zip code), employer, job title and department, telephone number and other identifying information. When ordering products or services on the App, you may be asked to provide a credit card number.

 

Aggregate Information: This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We gather certain information about you based upon where you visit on our App and what other sites may have directed you to us. This information, which is collected in a variety of different ways, is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include the Website's Uniform Resource Locator ("URL") that points to the site you just came from, which URL you go to after visiting our App, what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol ("IP") address.

 

2. How We Collect and Use Information

 

We do not collect any PII about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain PII to us when you elect to use certain products or services available on the App. These may include: (a) registering for an account on our App; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) submitting a form or transmitting other information by telephone or letter; or (e) submitting your credit card or other payment information

 

when ordering and purchasing products and services on our App. When processing certain information, such as payment information with affiliated banking institutions or payment processors, we encrypt the transaction, using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology, in order to prevent your PII from being stolen or intercepted. All payments are processed through a third party payment processor, Stripe. Additionally, the credit card information we store in a third party database, Amazon Web Services, is your name, last 4 digits of the credit card and expiration date. This information is only used for display purposes on the app, that you can only see. PCI info is not stored.

 

We will primarily use your PII to provide product or service offerings to you. We will also use certain forms of PII to enhance the operation of our App, improve our internal marketing and promotional efforts, statistically analyze App use, improve our product and service offerings, and customize our App’s content, layout, and services. We may use PII to deliver information to you and to contact you regarding administrative notices. Finally, we may use your PII to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our agreements with you, including our App Terms of Use, and this Privacy Policy.

 

We may also collect or our third party advertising partners may collect, certain Aggregate Information. For example, we may use your IP address to diagnose problems with our servers, software, to administer our App and to gather demographic information. Our third party advertising partners may also provide us with aggregate, but not individual, reports that will tell us how many ads were presented and clicked upon at out App.

 

3. Cookies

 

Cookies help us provide, protect and improve the CampusPro Products, such as personalizing content, tailoring and measuring ads and providing safer experience. While the cookies we may use may change from time to time as we improve and update the CampusPro Products we may use them for the following purposes:

 

Depending on how you use our App, we may store cookies on your computer in order to collect certain aggregate data about our users and to customize certain aspects of your specific user experience. A cookie is a small data text file which is stored on your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. Cookies may also include more personalized information, such as your IP address, browser type, the server your computer or mobile device is logged onto, the area code and zip code associated with your server, and your first name to welcome you back to our App. We may use cookies to perform tasks such as: monitoring aggregate site usage metrics, storing and remembering your passwords (if you allow us to do so), storing account and advertising preferences that you have set, and personalizing the Services we make available to you. However, we do not use cookies to track your browsing behaviors.

 

We may also use an outside advertising partner to display advertisements or sponsored content on our App. As part of their service, they will place a separate cookie on your computer. We will not provide any third-party advertising partners with any of your PII or information about your purchases. We and our third party ad server will collect and use Aggregate Information about you, such as your IP address, browser type, the server your computer is logged onto, the area code and zip code associated with your server and whether you responded to a particular ad. Other advertisers may also place ads on our App in the same manner as above, but we will not disclose any PII to them.

 

To show you better ads, we may use data that advertisers and other partners provide us about your activity off CampusPro Products. We may show you ads off CampusPro Products, such as websites, apps and devices that use our advertising services, we use data about your activity on CampusPro Products to make them more relevant. 

 

Advertising, recommendations, insights and measurement 

    • We may use cookies to help us show ads and to make recommendations for businesses and other organizations to people who may be interested in the products, services or causes they promote

    • Cookies may allow us to limit the number of times that you see an ad so you don’t see the same ad over and over again

    • We may also use cookies to help measure the performance of ad campaigns for businesses that use the CampusPro Products

    • We may also use cookies to measure how often people do things like click on or view ads

    • Cookies may help us serve and measure ads across different browsers and devices used by the same person

    • We may also use cookies to provide insights about the people who use CampusPro products as well as, the people who interact with ads, websites and apps of our advertisers and that businesses that use CampusPro Products

    • We may also use cookies to help you opt out of seeing ads from CampusPro based on your activity on third-party websites

 

Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some aspects of the App may not function properly if you elect to disable cookies.

 

4. Release of Information

 

We will not sell, trade, or rent your PII to others. We do provide some of our product and service offerings through contractual arrangements made with affiliates, service providers, partners and other third parties ("Service Partners"). We and our Service Partners may need to use some PII in order to perform tasks between our respective sites, or to deliver products or services to you. For example, we must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment for products and services purchased on this App; release your address information to the delivery service to deliver products that you ordered; and provide order information to third parties that help us provide customer service.

 

We will encourage our Service Partners to adopt and promote strong privacy policies. However, the use of your PII by our Service Partners is governed the respective privacy policies of those providers, and is not subject to our control. Except as otherwise discussed in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. Other Sites accessible through this App, including our Advertising and Service Partners, have their own privacy policies and data collection, use and disclosure practices. Please consult each Site's privacy policy. 

 

We are not responsible for the policies or practices of third parties.

Occasionally we may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide PII to the appropriate governmental authorities. In such cases, we will disclose PII upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful.

 

We may also provide Aggregate Information about our customers' sales, traffic patterns, and related App information to third party advertisers, but these statistics do not include any Personally Identifiable Information.

 

5. Updating and Correcting Information

 

We believe you should have the ability to access and edit the PII that you have provided to us. You may change any of your PII in your account online at any time by linking to your account in accordance with instructions posted elsewhere on this App.

Please include your name, address, and/or email address when you contact us.

We encourage you to promptly update your PII if it changes. You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed; however, some information, such as past transactions, logs of technical support calls, or other information may not be deleted. In addition, it may be impossible to completely delete your information without some residual information because of backups.

 

6. User Choices on Collection and Use of Information

 

We may, from time to time, send you email regarding new products and services that we feel may interest you. In addition, if you indicated upon registration that you are interested in receiving offers or information from us and our partners, we may occasionally call or send you direct mail about products and services that may be of interest to you. Only Company (or agents working on behalf of Company and under confidentiality agreements) will send you these solicitations, and only if you have previously indicated that you wish to receive them. If you do not want to receive solicitations from us, you can "opt-out" by accessing your account online editing your account information to no longer receive such offers and mailings.

 

You also have choices with respect to cookies, as described above. By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies some parts of our App may not work properly in your case.

 

7. Security of Your PII

 

At our App you can be assured that your PII is secure, consistent with current industry standards. We strive to take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of your PII. For example:

We work hard to ensure that the data we collect is reliable, accurate, complete and current. We encrypt all PII, in order to prevent unauthorized parties from viewing such information when it is transmitted to us. We also only keep collected information only for as long as reasonably necessary and use it only for the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with any applicable legal or ethical reporting or document retention requirements.

 

We limit access to PII only to specific employees, contractors and agents who have a reasonable need to come into contact with your information. For example, we may provide members of our technical support team with limited access to your account in order to allow them to troubleshoot problems you may be having with the App.

 

Additionally, we also employ a number of physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect PII. Our secure servers and our data centers are protected by industry-standard encryption, and our servers reside behind firewalls and employ high-level password protection.

Finally, access by you to your PII is available through a password and unique customer ID selected by you. This password is encrypted. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone.

 

In order to most effectively serve you, credit card transactions and order fulfillment are handled by established third party banking institutions and processing agents (such as Stripe). They receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information and to process and ship your order.

 

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your PII, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this App cannot be guaranteed.

 

8. Miscellaneous

 

You must be at least 18 years old to have our permission to use this App. Our policy is that we do not knowingly collect, use or disclose PII about minor visitors.

You should also be aware that when Personally Identifiable Information is voluntarily disclosed (i.e. your name, email address, etc.) in the discussion forums or other public areas on this App, that information, along with any information disclosed in your communication, can be collected and used by third parties and may result in unsolicited messages (including unwanted spam messages) from third parties. Such activities are beyond our control and this Policy does not apply to such information. Please consult our App Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement for our App Conduct policies on the mobile application which can be downloaded in the Apple App Store.

Data Policy 

 

This policy describes the information we process to support CampusPro. To provide the CampusPro mobile application we must process information about you. The types of information we collect depend on how you use the CampusPro application. 

 

Things you and others do and provide

Information and content you provide. We may collect the content, communications and other information when you use our Product including when you sign up for an account, listing of services or products, survey results, communication with other users and booked appointments. This can include information in or about the content you provide (like metadata), such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created. It can also include what you see through features we provide. 

 

Your Usage

We may collect information about how you use our Product, such as the types of content you view or engage with; the features you use; the actions you take; the people or accounts you interact with; and the time, frequency and duration of your activities. We log when you’re using and have last used our Product and collect information about how you use features. 

 

Device Information

As described below we may collect information from and about computers, phones and other web-connected devices you use to integrate with our Products and we combine this information across different devices you use. For example, we may use information collected about your use of our Product on your phone to better personalize the content (including ads) or features you see when you use our Product on another device, such as your laptop or tablet, or to measure whether you took an action in response to an ad we showed you on your phone on a different device. 

 

Information we may obtain from these devices includes:

    • Device attributes: information such as the operating system, hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, available storage space, browser type, app and file names and types, and plugins. 

    • Identifies: unique identifiers, device IDs and other identifiers. 

    • Device signals: bluetooth signals and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons and cell towers. 

    • Data from device settings you turn on, such as access to your GPS location, camera or photos. 

    • Network and connections: information such as the name of your mobile operator or ISP, language, time zone, mobile phone number, IP address, connection speed and, and in some cases, information about other devices that are nearby or on your network. 

    • Cookie data: data from cookies stored on your device, including cookie IDs and settings.

 

How we use this information

 

We use the information we have (subject to choices you make) as described below and to provide and support the CampusPro Products and related services described in the CampusPro Terms. 

 

Product Research and Development 

We may use the information we have to develop, test and improve our Product, including by conducting surveys and research, and testing and trouble shooting new products and features. 

 

We may use the information we have about you including about your interests, actions and connections-to select and personalize ads, offers and other sponsored content that we show you.

 

Promote Safety, integrity and security 

We may use the information we have to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful conduct, detect and prevent spam and other bad experiences, maintain the integrity of our Product and promote safety and security on and off of CampusPro Products. For example, we use data we have to investigate suspicious activity or violations of our terms or policies, or to detect when someone needs help. 

 

Communicate with you

We may use the information we have to spend you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Product and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us. 

 

How is this information shared?

 

Your information is shared with others in the following ways:

 

We work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve our Product or grow their businesses, which makes it possible to operate our company and provide free services to people. We don’t sell any of your information to anyone and we never will. We also impose strict restrictions on how our partners can use and disclose the data we provide. 

 

Here are the types of third parties we share information with:

 

Advertisers, Partners and Sponsors

 

We may provide advertisers, partners and sponsors with reports about the kinds of people seeing their ads and how their ads are performing, but we don’t share information that personally identifies you (information such as your name or email address that by itself can be used to contact you or identifies who you are) unless you give us permission. For example, we may provide general demographic and interest information to help them better understand their audience. We may also confirm which ads led you to make a purchase or take an action with an advertiser. 

 

Measurement Partners

We may share information about you with companies that aggregate it to provide analytics and measurement reports to our partners. 

 

Partners offering goods and services in our Products

When you subscribe to receive premium content, or buy something from a seller in our Products, the content creator or seller can received your public information and other information you share with them as well as the information needed to complete the transaction, including shipping and contact details. 

 

Vendors and service providers

We may provide information and content to vendors and service providers who support our business, such as by providing technical infrastructure services, analyzing how our Products are used, providing customer service, facilitating payments or conducting surveys. 

 

Researchers and academics

We may also provide information and content to research partners and academics to conduct research that advances scholarship and innovation that support our business or mission, and enhances discovery and innovation on topics of general social welfare, technological advancement, pubic interest health and well being. 

 

Law enforcement or legal requests

We share information with law enforcement or in response to legal requests in the circumstances outlined below.  

 

How do we respond to legal requests or prevent harm?

We access, preserve and may share you information with regulators, law enforcement or others:

    • In response to a legal request (like a search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of the United States when we have a good-faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with the internationally recognized standards. 

    • When we have a good-faith belief it its necessary to detect, prevent and address fraud, unauthorized use of the CampusPro Products, violations of our terms or policies or other harmful illegal activity; to protect ourselves (including our rights, property or Products), you or others, including as part of the investigations or regulatory inquiries; or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm. For example, if relevant, we provide information to and receive information from third party partners about the reliability of your account to prevent fraud, abuse and other harmful activity on and off our Products. 

 

Information we receive about you (including financials transaction data related to purchases made with CampusPro) can be accessed and preserved for an extended period when it is the subject of a legal request or obligation, government investigation, or investigations of possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm. We also retain information from accounts disabled for terms violations for at least a year prevent repeat abuse or other term violations. 

 

How doe we operate and transfer data as part of our global services?

We may share information globally, both internally within CampusPro and externally with our partners. Your information may, for example, be transferred or transmitted to or stored and processed in the United States or other countries outside of where you live for the purposes as described in this policy. These data transfers are necessary to provide the services set forth in the CampusPro Terms and to globally operate and provide our Products to you.

 

We will notify you before we make changes to this policy and give you the opportunity to review the revised policy before you choose to continue using our Products.
